1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BudgetSwipe ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

BudgetSwipe is a personal budget tracking application that allows users to:

• Track income, expenses, and savings
• Categorize transactions (Needs, Wants, Savings)
• Set up recurring transactions
• Import bank statements in CSV format and categorize transactions
• View spending insights and analytics
• Receive optional push notification reminders
• Export and share spending insights

3. User Data and Responsibility

3.1 Local Data Storage

All financial data you enter into BudgetSwipe is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your financial information, transaction details, or personal spending data.

3.2 Data Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored within the App. We recommend enabling device passcode and biometric protection.

3.3 Data Backup

Your BudgetSwipe data may be included in your device's iCloud backup if iCloud backup is enabled. You are responsible for managing your backup and restore settings.

3.4 Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect aggregated, privacy-preserving usage data to improve the App. This data does not include your financial information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.

4. Free and Premium Tiers

4.1 Free Tier

BudgetSwipe is free to download and use. The free tier includes:

• Unlimited manual transaction tracking
• Category management with custom categories
• Recurring transactions
• Spending calendar
• Push notification reminders
• Up to 90 CSV import transactions per calendar month

4.2 BudgetSwipe Pro (Premium Subscription)

BudgetSwipe Pro is an optional premium subscription that unlocks additional features, including:

• Unlimited CSV import transactions
• Advanced spending insights
• Shareable spending breakdowns and calendar images

BudgetSwipe Pro is available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase.

4.3 Subscription Terms

• Payment: Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID via the App Store.
• Auto-Renewal: Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
• Price Changes: We may change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
• Free Trial: If offered, free trial periods automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

4.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage or overburden our systems

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by BudgetSwipe and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• MERCHANTABILITY
• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• NON-INFRINGEMENT
• ACCURACY OF FINANCIAL CALCULATIONS

BudgetSwipe is a tracking tool and should not be considered financial advice. Always verify important financial decisions with qualified professionals.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data or financial information
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
• Any errors in financial calculations or categorizations

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BudgetSwipe and its owners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
